It was nearly thirty years ago that Phil and Breda Harris made the decision to diversify their Agricultural Machinery and Repairs business into the then, new world, of Woodshavings for Animal Bedding. Starting with a second hand baler, lots of hard work and determination to provide a second to none service to their customers, they have, over the years, built Mendip Woodshavings into one of the largest suppliers of Woodshavings in the West of England with the ‘Mendip’ brand easily recognised on their packaging of their bales of First Grade Woodshavings and Mendip Multimix, a blend of dedusted chopped straw and shavings.

At their site in Charterhouse, just north of Cheddar, set in the Mendip Hills, they have recently installed state of the art baling and handling equipment to enable them to continue to provide the high level of product quality and customer service that they have built their business on.
